Milton J. McCabe

Milton J. McCabe, III, 48, longtime resident of Springvale, died August 30, 2003 at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a period of failing health.He was born January 21, 1955 in Portland the son of Milton J. and Helen (Laurion) McCabe, Jr. He attended local schools and Noble High School, and attended a technical school in Calais, ME for electrical work.Mr. McCabe owned and operated from 1988 until recently, M&M Hauling delivering swimming pools through out the New England states. Milton was an avid collector of many things, especially antiques. He enjoyed weekends when he could drive the back roads and scout out the best yard sales. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing.A generous man, he was always thoughtful and caring towards his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his children and family.Survivors include his parents, Milton & Helen McCabe, JR. of Orland, ME; his two children: Milton McCabe IV and his wife, Jane of Sanford and Rebecca H.Ibrahim and her husband, Ibrahim of Sacramento, CA.By his stepchildren: Michael Lawson of Jacksonville, FL; and Patricia Wombles and Samantha Lawson both of Barrington, NH.By 5 brothers: James and his wife, Maureen of Dover, NH; Thomas and his wife, Sandy of Lincoln, ME; Timothy of Orland, ME; Jeffrey and his wife, Patricia of Sanford and Terry and his wife, Colleen of West. Lebanon, ME.Also, 7 grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept 2 ,2003 at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale from 6 - 8 PM.A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, Sept 3rd.
