Mildred LaRose

Mildred LaRose, 81, of Lebanon, Maine, passed away on Saturday July 22, 2006 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Sanford, Maine on September 24, 1924, a daughter of Onesime Sr., and Mabel (Duprey) Godin.Mrs. LaRose was a lifelong communicant of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Sanford. It is here she and her husband, Leo P. LaRose were married on June 23, 1947. She was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne.She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary and an AMVETS Auxillary Charter member as well as a member of the DAV Auxillary. She worked at the Sanford Dress Shop and later at Nasson College in Springvale. Her hobbies included bingo, crocheting, quilting and yodeling.She is predeceased by one son, Leo P. LaRose, sister, Odile McGrath, brothers, Joseph Godin, Onesime Godin Jr., Donald Godin, Alexander Godin, one baby sister and one baby brother.She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Leo P. LaRose Sr., of Lebanon, children, Theresa Kirkpatrick of Fairview, TN, Leo P. LaRose Jr., and his wife, Diane of Carlyle, IL, Jeannine Lambert and her husband, Normand of Deltona, FL, Irene Daney and her husband, David of Hollis, Maine, and Rose Woods and her husband, Larry of Lebanon, sisters and brothers, Victoria Lamontagne, Michael Godin, Peter Paul Godin and his wife, Christine, Patrick Godin and his wife, Ann, Mary Ann Estes, Elizabeth Moffre and her husband, Danny, Theresa Robidas and her husband, Stanley and John Godin and his wife, Gloria, 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be on Tuesday July 25 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Lafrance-Lambert and Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street in Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10am at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Sanford.
