Maurice Goodwin

Maurice Goodwin, 80 years old, of Lebanon died July 1, 2003 at Goodall Hospital in Sanford, ME.Mr. Goodwin was born on June 11, 1923 in Lebanon, ME. He was the son of Raymond and Emma Goodwin. It was in Lebanon that Mr. Goodwin attended school and lived his entire life.For many years Mr. Goodwin was self-employed as a blacksmith, and a logger. He had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed his horses, rabbit hunting, ice fishing, and taking his children ice-skating. He often went to local fairs and enjoyed tending to his gardens.Mr. Goodwin had a large family and loved them very much.Predeceasing him is a daughter Sonia Baker, a grandson Norman G. Davis, two sisters, and a brother.Surviving are six daughters; Mary Zawadil of Lebanon, Linda Smith of Milton, NH, Marjorie Nielsen of Weare, NH, Pamela Warden of Rochester, NH, Joan Davis of Farmington, NH, Eva Cullen also of Farmington, NH; two sons, Maurice W. Goodwin of Rochester, NH, Robert Goodwin of Middleton, NH, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a sister Helen Carpenter of Springvale, ME; two step-daughters, and a step-son.A period of visitation will be held on Saturday July 5, 2003 from 3 to 7 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, Springvale, ME; where services will be held on Sunday the 6th of July at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest grove Cemetery in Lebanon, ME.For those that desire memorials may be made to the Little River Church of Lebanon, ME.
