Mary E. Moreshead, 97, died peacefully March 24, 2013, in Illinois. She was born May 9, 1915, in Portland, a daughter of John and Helen McGuire Mulkern. She was educated locally. Mary was predeceased by her husband G. David Moreshead and a daughter Nancy Miller. Surviving are: her son-in-law, James Miller; grandchildren, James Miller, Jr. and his wife Allison, Diane Kunhart and her husband Jeff, Melanie Miller; great grandchildren, Lindsey, Katelyn, Jake and Aubrey; sister, Eulalia Cyr and her husband Phil; nephews, Rev. Harold Moreshead, John Moreshead, Jr., both of South Portland and Gordon Moreshead and his wife Evelyn of Old Orchard Beach. Services were held March 27, 2013, in Illinois. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, at Holy Cross Church, Corner of Broadway and Cottage Road, South Portland. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland. Local services handled by Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Homes, 172 State Street, Portland.Online condolences may be expressed below.
