Mary A. Mood

Mary A. Mood, 78, of Sanford, died Sunday, January 8, 2006 at Goodall Hospital in Sanford. She was born on August 1, 1927 in Salem, MA to Francis and Alice Robitaille Gorczyca where she attended local schools.Mrs. Mood was an avid Bingo player. She played bingo at many of the different halls in the area and was always in search of the biggest pots. Animals brought Mary a lot of pleasure; she really enjoyed the various pets that she had over the years. Mary enjoyed watching television, especially the Benny Hill Show. When her late husband was alive, they enjoyed playing cards and traveling together. Mary enjoyed having company and entertaining guests, being around people always brought her a great deal of joy. She will be remembered as a kind and warm-hearted woman and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Chuck Mood and two siblings, Buster Gorczyca and Doris A. (Lamonde) Deery.Surviving are five siblings, Joseph Lamonde, Francis Lamonde, Bobby Lamonde, Estelle Coss and Henry Lamonde; a nephew, John Deery as well as many other nieces and nephews.There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Visiting Nurse Service of Southern Maine, 15 Industrial Park Road, Saco, 04072.
