Mary Lou Hanna

Mary Lou Hanna, 67, of S. Waterboro died Sunday evening July 28th at her home.Mrs. Hanna was born on May 10, 1935 in Portland, ME. She was the daughter of Louis and Dorothy Sawyer Brideau. She attended NY and Portland schools and was married to Robert Hanna on October 24, 1953.For many years she helped her husband operate a Sunoco Station in Windham, ME. She also worked for many years as a prep cook at Christopher's Restaurant in S. Sanford.Mrs. Hanna enjoyed socializing with her friends and family, and often traveled with her husband and faithful travel companions Don and Marguerite across the country. She enjoyed trips to Vegas, playing Bingo, and a nice afternoon fishing.A sister Nancy Skinner predeceases her.Surviving is her husband of 48 years Robert Hanna of S. Waterboro, their children Jerri L. McEwen of Limerick, Roberta J, Meserve of Limerick, David M. Hanna of Sanford, and Paul L. Hanna of Waterboro. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.A period of visitation will be held on Wednesday July 31, 2002 from 7 to 9 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale, ME. A graveside service will be held on Friday August 2, 2002 in Pine Grove Cemetery in S. Waterboro at a time to be announced.For those that desire memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
