Mark Joseph Pradon

Mark J. Pradon, 58, of Carl Broggi Hwy, Lebanon died surrounded by his loving wife and children following a short and courageous battle with cancer, December 8, 2004 at Rochester Manor in Rochester, NH.He was born January 12, 1946 in Bellmore, Long Island, NY a son of Michael and Charlotte (Greenockel) Pradon and moved to Vermont as a young child with his family. Mark graduated from Arlington High School in 1964 in Arlington, VT and during high school worked with his dad at the Shaftsbury Gulf Station in town. When his dad retired, Mark ran the business many years before moving to Lebanon in 1994. In 1995, Mr. Pradon went into business, Pradon's Garage, where he bought and sold automobiles. He had a passion for classic automobiles. The quality of his work and talent ensured a following of happy customers. He had that innate sense of what a car should look like after some restoration work followed by an excellent paint job. He especially liked Lincoln's. Mr. Pradon was a generous man. He helped his friends and neighbors when they needed a helping hand. He was honest in his business and that transpired to lifelong friendships. Mark enjoyed hunting and was a gun enthusiast. He also enjoyed boating, spending time with his family and the companionship of his dog, Keisha.Family members include his wife of 30 years, Donna (Hall) Pradon whom he married June15, 1974 at St. James Episcopal Church in Arlington, Vermont. Also, his son, Michael of Sanford and daughter, Michelle Pradon of Tampa, FL; his uncles, Fred Pradon of Arlington, VT and Steve Pradon of Nebraska; Aunt Angie Abattello of Shaftsbury, VT and many cousins. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 18, 2004 at 2:00 pm at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale with Rev. Susan Kingman, officiating.
