Portland - Mark W. Campbell, 59, died unexpectedly of natural causes on March 21, 2023, at his home in Portland, Maine. Mark enjoyed a long career as an appliance technician for local businesses before his recent move to general maintenance technician for 75 State Street. Mark loved his family, could fix anything, and was known for his jokes and crude humor. He loved camping, fishing and building and flying RC planes. Mark was predeceased by his mother, Margaret (2012); stepson, Scott (2011); and beloved pets, Cal, Miss Kitty and Dewey. Mark is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, MaryJane; and their dear dog, Gracie. He is also survived by his father, Jerome Campbell; step mother, Nancy; brother, Duncan; and sister, Barbara; his stepdaughter, Janene Westberry (Chris); stepsons, Allen and Mark Westberry; grandchildren, Kailie Balcom (Mike), Rob Stiles (Stephanie), Dylan Stiles (Kristin), and 14 others; great grandchildren, Michael Jr, Deacon, Mahala, Madelyn, Holland, and 13 others; brother-in-law, Mark Munro (Diana); sister-in-laws, Lurene (Paul), Heide (Stan), Jean, Julie (Shawn). Visitation will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 from 11:00am - 1:00pm at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland.   1. I knew Mark from work. He was such a lovely soul to be around and would help anyone at the drop of a hat. I miss Mark terribly. My condolences to Mark’s family.

You were like no other. You were always there no matter what for me or my children. You never had to do it but you chose us and treated us as you own. I will forever honor you for that.   4. I knew Mark as the big brother of one of my best friends in elementary school. He was always making us laugh and was an obviously loving brother, in his gruff way. I know he’ll be missed by all his friends and family. My condolences to you all.
