Marion W. Prosser

Marion W. Prosser, 103 years old, of Sanford, ME died Tuesday evening September 2, 2003 at the Newton Center in Sanford.Mrs. Prosser was born on September 27, 1899 in Woburn, MA. She was the daughter of Charles S. and Genevieve Allen Williams. She is a graduate of Hartford Public H.S. and was the eldest living graduate of Nason College of Springvale. Mrs. Prosser spent a brief time living in New York where she taught cooking classes and worked as a dietician in the Kings County Hospital of Brooklyn. Along with her husband she began to summer at Mousam Lake in 1921, and finally settled in Springvale in 1947.As a Naval Captains wife Mrs. Prosser visited and lived all across the country. After her husbands retirement they continued to travel and admire much of North America.Mrs. Prosser was a gentle woman with a very big heart, and greatly enjoyed the company of othersMrs. Prosser is predeceased by her husband Capt. Albert L. Prosser.Surviving are several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.A 10:00 AM memorial service for Mrs. Prosser will be held this Friday September 5, 2003 at the Heald Funeral home, 580 Main St. Springvale, ME.For those that desire memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
