Marion G. Parent, 102 years old, of Sanford, ME died Thursday, May 12, 2005 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford, ME.Mrs. Parent was born on January 20, 1903 in Springvale, ME; the daughter of Henry and Myrtle (Griffin) Grondin. She attended Springvale schools, and for over 35 years was employed by the Universal Shoe Company.Mrs. Parent was a communicant of St. Ignatius Church, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.Predeceasing Mrs. Parent was her husband Fred Parent Jr. in 1975.Surviving is a granddaughter, Gail Von Dette of Boston, MA, and a grandson, Bruce Johnson of Nashua, NH.A 9:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at St. Ignatius Church in Sanford, with committal services to follow.Arrangements completed by the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St. Sanford, ME.
