Marion K. DiFiore

South Portland - Marion K. DiFiore, 92, died on November 13, 2021, at Pinnacle Nursing Home. Marion was born in Portland, on May 10, 1929, the daughter of the late Albert E. and Edith (Milliken) Newell. She grew up in Portland where she attended local schools. On December 27, 1947 she married Larry Vincent DiFiore and they had two children. Marion loved being a stay at home mom and she was thrilled to welcome four grandchildren and a great grandson into the family. She was predeceased by six siblings, George S. Newell, Alice F. Sweetser, Pauline M. French, Helen L. Mullen, Richard K. Newell, Albert E. Newell Jr. She is survived by her two children, Marie E. Gribbin of Winslow, Arizona, Larry V. DiFiore and his wife Nancy of Montoursville, PA; sister, Emily DeQuina of Chandler, AZ; brother, Frank Newell and his wife Rosemary of Saco; four grandchildren, Eric Schroeder, Derek DiFiore, Jacqueline (DiFiore)Morris and husband James, Adrienne DiFiore and husband Braden Larson; great grandson, Adam Schroeder; dear friend, Linda Chadbourne; special niece and caregiver, Laurie Carr and her husband Christopher Gill; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Pinnacle Nursing Home for the kind and compassionate care they gave to Marion. Services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home of South Portland, 1024 Broadway.
