MarieAnge I. Hartsgrove, 60, of Alfred, died August 21 at home after a long illness.She was born in Van Buren on October 16, 1951, the daughter of Alyre and Jeanne (Violet) Levesque, Sr. She attended Van Buren parochial schools, attended Van Buren High School and was a graduate of Caribou High School. She was also a graduate of the Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute with a degree in business.She came to southern Maine and was employed at several places as an office assistant including Saco Defense and Nasson College. For several years, she taught math at the Kennebunk Christian Academy.Marie was an active member of the Grace Family Church in Waterboro, where among her many activities, she sang in the choir.Quite artistic, she enjoyed all forms of crafts including painting, woodburning, knitting, crocheting and drawing. Her family recalled that she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who possessed a keen sense of humor.Survivors include her husband of 43 years, David R. Hartsgrove, Sr. of Alfred, daughter Monique Sapp, her husband Daniel and their children Lacey and Aaron of Baraboo, WI, son David R. Hartsgrove, Jr. of Alfred, daughter Dawn Markham, her husband Paul and their children Kaleb and Christina of Rushsprings, OK, brothers Alyre Levesque, Jr. and Richard Levesque, both of Van Buren, 4 sisters, Viola of Caribou, Lou Ann Skidgel and her husband Clement of Woodland, Claudia Thibodeau and her husband Jim of Van Buren, and Germaine Levesque of Van Buren.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 PM at the Grace Family Church, 1176 Main Street, Waterboro, where a funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM. Burial will be Saturday at 12:00 noon in Fairview Cemetery in Perham, Maine.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
