Marie L. Sirois

Marie L Sirois of Sanford, ME and Shelburne, VT, after a short illness, peacefully departed her earthly abode on October 21, 2016 and entered God's Heavenly Kingdom. Marie was born in Sanford, May 26, 1935 to parents Frank Ross and Mary Gagne. She attended Holy Family school and graduated from Saint Ignatius High School in 1953. On July 3, 1954 she and Raymond J Sirois, high school sweethearts, were joined together for life by the sacrament of Holy Matrimony. Marie is a loving, caring, generous and tender person. She shared her love with all, putting the needs of others before her own. Whenever she saw or heard of someone in need, she was there to help. A devoted spouse, mother and grandmother, family gatherings where everyone shared the love she had instilled were her greatest joy. She also enjoyed being outdoors, daily walks, floral gardening, cross country skiing and snowshoeing with anyone who wanted to join her. After raising, guiding and providing an ideal home life for her children, she was office manager in her husband's dental practice for 16 years. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, 4 children and their spouses, 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 2 sisters and their spouses. On Nov. 19, 2016 a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church in Sanford. The Family will gather in the vestibule of the church at 9:00 AM and the mass will commence at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38101.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
