Lucille "Gram" Jowett, 82, of Ridley Road, Sanford, died at the Newton Center, Thursday, January 27, 2005. She was born in Sanford, October 24, 1922 a daughter of Francis and Emelia (Record) Binnette and attended St. Ignatius Schools. She made her home on Brook Street in Sanford and worked at Pioneer Plastics and retired from Sprague Electric following many years of dedicated employment. Mrs. Jowett was most content when she and her family would gather at the home on Mousam Lake. She was very independent and would help her daughter and her family with errands around the house. A trip to the grocery store could be up to two hours - she enjoyed visiting with everyone. Mrs. Jowett had made her home with her daughter, Sandra and family for the past 10 years. She and Sandra shared trips to Disney World in Florida. Simple pleasures suited her just fine. A Red Sox and Patriots fan - she could not be disturbed when they were playing. She loved to spoil Flash, the family beagle. Survivors include her son, Stanley "Skip" Jowett and wife Priscilla; daughter Sandra Allaire and husband, Ron; two grandsons, Lee Allaire of Sanford and Lance Allaire of Rangeley; two granddaughters, Kristin LaVoie and husband, David of Naples, FL; andKarolyn Jowett of Alfred; one sister, Simone Littlefield of Jacksonville, FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 43 years, Stanley Jowett, Sr. in 1987 and four sisters and one brother. A Graveside Service will be later in the spring at Oakdale Cemetery.
