Gawthrop, 87, of Alfred Maine died September 19, 2002 at her residence.She was born in Sheridan Maine on March 10, 1915, the daughter of Joseph and Angeline (Theriault) Goslin.Mrs. Gawthrop had lived in Detroit Michigan for 37 years. Before moving to Alfred in 1978. During her working years she did domestic work for various homes and hotels.She enjoyed working with flowers and when her son David was younger she was the den mother for his Boy Scout Troup. She is survived by her sons David Gawthrop and his wife Cathy of Redford Michigan, John Gawthrop and his wife Marie of Clinton Twp, Michigan; a daughter Carol Lawrence and her husband Roger of Warren Michigan; a brother Victor Goslin of Hartford, CT; sisters Arlene Wagner and her husband George, Pauline Deabay and her husband Freeman, Madeline Albee and her husband Mickey; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.She was predeceased by her husband Don Gawthrop, sisters Elsie, Edna and Irene; and a brother Harold "Buck".Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Heald Funeral Home 580 Main Street Springvale, where a funeral will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday.
