Loretta M. Horne

Loretta M. Horne, 85, of Derry, NH, formerly of Sanford/Springvale, passed away on Sunday March 26, 2006 at the Parkland Hospital in Derry, NH. She was born in Westbrook, Maine on October 14, 1920 a daughter of William and Leda (Proulx) Bernard.She attended Sanford/Springvale schools. She worked at various area shoe shops, Jagger Mills and Universal Shoe Shop. She retired in the 1980's from Raytheon in Waltham, MA with 30 years of service.She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, fishing and years ago she loved tinkering on cars.She is predeceased by her husband, Walter E. Horne who passed away in 1973 and one son, Jack "Roy" Horne who passed away in 1993.She is survived by two sons, Gene Horne of San Antonio, TX, Gerald Horne of Springvale,Maine, one daughter S.Shirley Littlefield of Lebanon, Maine 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.Visiting hours will be on Wednesday March 29 from 6-8pm at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale. A graveside service will be held later this spring at Forest Grove Cemetery in North Lebanon.
