Lois E. Fluet
Lois Esther Fluet, 82, died peacefully on October 6 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford.She was born in Alfred on October 28, 1927, the daughter of John and Ida (Lockwood) Johnstone. Lois loved playing cards, board games, doing jigsaw puzzles and playing Yatzee. She enjoyed two trips she took, one to Aruba and one to London, England. Her greatest pleasure was to be in the company of and preparing meals for her family.She was predeceased by her first husband, Carl Brown whom she married in 1946, and by her second husband Amie Fluet. She also was predeceased by her parents, 4 sisters, Thelma Robbins, Avis Johnstone, Effie Gilpatrick, Joyce Johnstone and by a brother Russell Johnstone.Survivors include three sons, Nelson Brown, Delson Brown, John Brown, four sisters, Bertha Garland, Nancy Hobbs, Ruby Johnstone, Shirley Letourneau, two brothers, Lucien Johnstone, Earl Johnstone, seven grandchildren, Todd Brown, Trevor Brown, Scott Brown, Kimberly Brown, Melissa Beddard, Melinda Bisson, Dawn Brown and 14 great grandchildren.A graveside service was held in Evergreen Cemetery in Alfred on October 15. The family would like to thank the staff at the Greenwood Center for the wonderful care she received during her stay there for the last three years.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
