Lillian Roy

Lillian Y. Roy, 82, of Sanford, died November 24 at the Goodall Hospital in Sanford after a brief illness.She was born in Sanford on April 18, 1923, a daughter of Theodore and Mary (Cote) Gagne, and attended Holy Family School.She was employed by local shoe shops for 40 years retiring in 1985.She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne.A private person who lived quietly, she enjoyed people watching and her beloved cats Midnight and Fluffy.Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Robert J. Roy of Sanford, a sister, Jacqueline L'Heureux also of Sanford, and several nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 AM in Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 343 Gorham Road, So. Portland, ME 04106.
