Leona M. Henderson

Leona Mae Henderson, 65 years old, of Somersworth, NH died Friday evening June 25, 2004 at Wentworth-Douglas Hospital in Dover, NH after a long and courageous battle with cancer.Leona was born on February 4, 1939 in Springfield, VT. She was the daughter of Charles and Esther Proctor Herrick. At a young age she moved to Somersworth, grew up as child and attended local schools there. Leona always aspired to be an architect. She loved to make drawings of houses. She was an avid stereo buff, and above all loved to spend time with her family, especially the grandchildren.Predeceasing her are two daughters, Bonnie and Charlene, and her parents Charles and Esther.Surviving are three daughters, Julie Henderson of Palmyra, ME, Jeanie Henderson of Skowhegan, ME, Ruthie Moulton of Lebanon, ME; three sons, Horace Henderson of Boston, MA, Frank Henderson of S. Berwick, ME, and Charles Henderson of Troy, ME, and 14 grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Jean Herrick; two brothers, Harvey and Johnnie Herrick, and several nieces and nephews.A 10:00 PM graveside service for Leona will be held on Friday July 2, 2004 at Rogers Cemetery in Troy, ME
