Leo W. Cormiea Sr., better known as "Froggy", died Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at Southern Mane Medical Center in Biddeford.Leo was born on September 20, 1929 in Whitman, MA. He was the son of the late John E. and Elsie (Burns) Cormiea. He attended schools, and was raised in Hull, MA.Leo worked construction for many years. He drove and maintained several big rigs, cars, motorcycles, and stock cars. He enjoyed racing stock cars and motorcycles, and at the races he often did stunt driving as well. He also enjoyed the water, whether he was lobstering, or fishing, he always had a good time.Predeceasing him is a son Gary "Bear" Cormiea.Surviving is his wife Cynthia (Lovell) Cormiea of Lebanon; three sons, Leo W. Cormiea Jr. of Kittery Point, Robert H. Cormiea of Saco, Mark L. Cormiea of Massachusetts, a daughter Heidi M. Lobell of East Rochester, NH, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, three brothers, and several nieces and nephews.At Leo's request services will be held at the convenience of the family.For those that desire the family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
