Lawrence H. Tirrell

Lawrence H. Tirrell, 77 years old, of Sanford, ME died Saturday December 13, 2003 in Kennebunk, ME.Mr. Tirrell was born on September 23, 1926 in Newfield, ME. He was the son of Chester and Clara Eastman Tirrell. He was raised and educated in Newfield and worked for Gordon Libby's chicken farm, as well as the Maine Lumber Company, from which he retired.Mr. Tirrell was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed going to the Acton, and Fryeburg Fairs, and especially enjoyed the horse pulling shows when he attended. Mr. Tirrell also enjoyed woodworking, and made several items for his son, and family over the years, and a nice day you might catch him traveling the back roads of Newfield, or Hiram.Predeceasing him are his parents, three brothers, Alden, Phillip, and Nelson.Surviving is his son Lawrence "Larry" Tirrell Jr. and daughter-in-law Sheri of Turo, Nova Scotia; six beautiful grandchildren, Charity, Jeremy, Jared, Justin, Emily, and Molly; two sisters, Phyllis Morgan of Springvale, ME, Dora Gammon of Laconia, NH, several nieces and nephews, and a dear friend and companion Ida Seavy of Sanford, ME.A graveside service for Mr. Tirrell will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in the spring of 2004.
