Lawrence F. Drury

Lawrence F. Drury Sr., 74, of Shapleigh died Friday June 28, 2002.Mr. Drury was born on August 17, 1927 in Berwick, ME. He was the son of John and Dolly Drury.Mr. Drury worked for Genest concrete for many years and eventually retired from there. He was a former member of the Berwick Fire department and a proud veteran of WWII. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He also enjoyed going to ball games, doing crossword puzzles, and working on his vehicles.His parents, and a son Lance who died in 1984 predecease him.Surviving is his wife Rachelle Ledoux Drury of Shapleigh, a son Lawrence F. Drury Jr. of Springvale; three daughters, Laurie Rose of Sanford, Linda Quint of Sanford, and Liza Johnson of Strafford, NH. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a sister Mary, and several nieces and nephews, and his faithful dog Buddy.A period of visitation will be held on Monday July 1, from 4 to 7 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale; where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.
