Lance A. Davis, 42, of Little River Road, died suddenly on Monday, September 8, 2003 at his home.He was born in Danvers, MA September 26, 1960 the son of Jack and Sandy (Riddle) Davis. He was raised in Danvers, graduating from Danvers High School with the Class of 1978. Lance was a "goal tender" for the Danvers Falcons High School, and later coached Youth Hockey.Lance loved life! He loved his many hobbies. He was a man of many gifts, especially his time he gave to his children. His children, Zack, 15, and Leah, 11, were the light of his life, along with his wife, Lynne of 18 years. Mr. Davis coached Lebanon Youth Soccer for 6 years. Both of his children acquired the same enthusiasm for the game. Besides coaching his children and many others, Mr. Davis has been a role model for many.As a teen, Lance loved buying and fixing up "55 Chevy's or when he began to race at Lee Speed Way, in numerous divisions. He raced for 15 years with his family by his side. Mr. Davis was instrumental in getting his son, Zack involved with the "Kids Truck Division" at White Mountain Park, and most recently in the "Hobby Stocks" at Lee Speedway. Lance was devoted to his family and had a deep, abiding faith in God, which sustained him throughout his life. Mr. Davis had been employed for over 25 years in the machine industry, most recently employed with the Turbocam family of Dover, NH. Family survivors include his wife, Lynne R. Davis of Lebanon, ME; his two precious children: Zachary and Leah Davis of Lebanon, Me; his loving parents, Jack and Sandy Davis of Lebanon, ME; two brothers: Eric Davis of Lebanon, ME and Robert Davis of Danvers, MA. His sister, Jacilyn Moreau of Acton, ME and his foster brother, Stephen Spence of Peabody, MA. Also, His mother-in-law, Priscilla Blute of Danvers, MA and by two brother-in-laws, Reid A. Blute of So. Grafton, MA and Todd A. Blute of So. Hamilton, MA. Several nieces and nephews.Calling hours will be held Thursday, Sept. 11th. From 7 - 9 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, Sept 12th. At 11:00 AM at the Heald Funeral Home with Rev.
