Kenneth Wesley Faylor

Kenneth W. Faylor, 79, of Sanford, died suddenly at Maine Medical Center on Friday, July 23, 2004. He was born in Quakertown, PA a son of Guy Wesley and Helen Anna (Trumbauer) Faylor and was raised and educated in Pennsylvania. He was a football player while attending Albright University and Texas A& M. He served in the U.S. Army from 1944 until 1946. Following college, Mr. Faylor was Plant Manager from 1964 to 1971 at Firestone Research Laboratory in Pottstown, PA. It was there that he met his future wife, Grace. Coming to New England, Mr. Faylor worked in management for Sprague Electric in Concord, NH from 1964 until 1986. From the early 1970's, He owned and operated IEC - International Electronic Components in Suncook, NH until 1977. One of his favorite jobs was working in Social & Child Services with the State of New Hampshire. With life experience and gentle wisdom, He was often a father and grandfather figure for many.Mr. Faylor enjoyed restoring homes and was a talented woodworker. He appreciated fine workmanship and would bring his many talents to upgrading a home. He also worked around the yard and built several rock walls. He was an avid sports fan.Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Grace Faylor of Sanford; two sons, Christopher Faylor of Wakefield, MA and Timothy Faylor of Barrington, NH. One daughter, Sharon Ann Ling of Hardwick, Vermont. 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild. He was predeceased by his brother, Harold Faylor in 1969.At the request of the family, services will be private.
