Kathryn M. Tsika

Kathryn M. Tsika, 86 years old, of Sanford, died Thursday June 15, after a long and wonderful life.She was born in Millinocket, Maine on November 22, 1919, to the late Guy and Ivy Jameson of Millinocket, and graduated from Stearns High School there.Kathryn, better known as Kay, and her husband Angelo, lived many years in Millinocket before moving to Southern Maine. Kay worked many years at Legere's Pharmacy.Kay spent her final years at the Greenwood Center in Sanford, where she had a love for her caretakers. She was grateful for the care, love and compassion she received while there.Kay will be remembered mostly for her zest for life and her ability to tell a joke. She was a longtime member of the Daughters of Isabella, and enjoyed playing bridge, as well as her Friday night bingo games at St. Ignatius in Sanford.All the words written couldn't describe how special she was. She will be sadly missed by those that loved her dearly. Kay was predeceased by her husband Angelo D. Tsika in 1987She is survived by 5 children, Sandra Dittimore, of Virginia, Paul E. Tsika, of Texas, Ronald Tsika of Scarborough, Maine, Thomas Tsika, of Sanford, Maine and Angela Fall of Gorham, Maine. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.An 11:00 AM graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at the St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.To leave a message of condolence please use the tab to the left.
