Kathleen T. Collins

South Portland – Kathleen T. Collins, 81, passed away on Feb. 26, 2026, at a South Portland nursing home. Kathy was born on September 10, 1944, in Portland, daughter of the late George and Alice (Feeney) Collins.

Kathy attended Holy Cross Grammar School in South Portland and graduated high school from Academy of St. Joseph in South Berwick in 1964.

She was a Candy Striper at Mercy Hospital for several years and then went on to work in another full-time position at Mercy. She ended her career at Goodwill in South Portland after 17 years.

Kathy was a member of the Eagles in Portland, she severed as president of the chapter for a time.

Kathy’s family includes a brother, Capt. John Collins; sisters, Dorothy Martin, and Mary Cormier; and many extended family members.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to The Grande, Seaside Rehab, and Pinnacle Nursing Home, as well as Compasses Hospice and longtime friends, Arthur Randall and Deborah (Dennison) Gregory.

A graveside prayer service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Old Calvary Cemetery, 1461 Broadway, South Portland.
