Dunnells, 102, of Sanford, Maine, died December 18, 2001 at Sanford Health Care, Sanford.She was born in Ross Corner Nova Scotia, Canada on September 10, 1899, the youngest child of John and Alice Hatchard Hiltz. She moved to Maine as a teenager and to Sanford at age 17, where she has lived for 85 years.Mrs. Dunnells worked for the shoe factory in Springvale when she was younger. She was devoted to her family as well as extended family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, nature and sewing. Her husband Raymond E. Dunnells died in 1952.She is survived by a daughter Marjorie D. Chadbourne of Sanford and her son-in-law Bernard H. Chadbourne of Sanford; grandchildren Jane C. Kirton of Sanford and James R. Chadbourne of Wells; great grandchildren Laura and David Kirton and Amy and Alexander Chadbourne. She is also survived by grandchildren-in-laws Robert G. Kirton and Dianne S. Chadbourne, as well as many nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends may call from 2:00 - 4:00 PM & 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday at Heald Funeral Home 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine, where a funeral will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday. Rev. Carleton Gunn, pastor of The North Parish Congregational Church will officiate.
