Justin Harris, 17 of Sanford died on Sunday, March 19, 2006.Justin was born in Sanford on February, 22, 1989 to Brian and Teresa Winn Harris. He was a sophomore at Sanford High School.Justin was a very mechanically inclined person; he liked to tinker with anything that had a motor attached to it. He was also very smart, this, combined with his mechanical ability enabled him to diagnose and fix problems with just about anything he might be working on. He was very motivated and driven, always finding ways to keep himself busy. He was constantly working on 4 wheelers, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and even cars, either for himself or for somebody else. Justin enjoyed wheeling and dealing with people to get parts for his projects or new machines to work on. He spent a lot of time this past winter working on snowmobiles. If he could get a machine to run for more that 5 minutes then it was a keeper. This was known by Justin and his friends as the 5-minute rule. Justin even found a found a go-cart through his dealing that his grandfather Alvin Harris fixed up and turned into a miniature tow truck that he drives in parades for the Shriners.Outdoor activities were a big part of Justin's life; he enjoyed hunting, fishing and ice fishing. In 2004, he and his grandfather, George Winn, went on a moose hunt and tagged a moose together. Justin was a free-spirited person with many friends. He had a magnetic personality that attracted people to him. He will be remembered for his fun-loving and fearless demeanor as well as his kind and loving heart. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. Surviving are his parents, Brian and Teresa Harris of Sanford; his twin brother, Ryan Harris of Sanford; two sisters, Tonya and Briana Harris, both of Sanford; his paternal grandparents, Alvin and Betty Harris of Bangor; his maternal grandparents, George and Judy Winn of Wells; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.A period of visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 from 4:30 to 6:00 PM with a funeral service following at 6:00 PM at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, located at 580 Main Street in Springvale.
