June E. Ward

June E. Ward, 86, of Boston departed August 9, in Boston.She was born on June 11, 1928 in Bradford, NH, the daughter of Clarence and Ruth (Corrigan) Ward. She was a 1946 graduate of Dover High School, and earned her Master's Degree in nursing from the University of New Hampshire. June was a registered nurse, as well as a licensed nursing home administrator. She worked as the head nurse at Boston Floating Hospital for Children, and was employed for many years as the administrator at Sherrill House in Boston.A resident of Boston for over 40 years, she spent her summers at her beloved cottage on Square Pond in Maine, and traveled extensively throughout Europe and the Far East. June was predeceased by her parents, and by three siblings, Carroll Ward, Lucille Ward, and Edwin Ward.June is survived by her two nieces, Madeline McKay, and Katheryn Gazda both of New Hampshire, grandniece, Susan Moore of San Rafael, California, two grandnephews, Michael Garsva of Hawaii, Michael Ward of Carraicou, and by many friends including her dear friend and neighbor Nora Englezian of Boston. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 21, at 1:00 P.M. at Riverside Cemetery in Springvale, Maine where she will be laid to rest with her sister and her parents.
