Judith Judy" A. Hodgkins, 53, of Freedom, Maine passed away on Tuesday July 5, 2005 at the Maine General Medical Center-Thayer Unit in Waterville. She was born on November 2, 1951, in Waltham, MA, a daughter of Leonard J. Sr., and Doris M. (Waugh) Small.She graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School in Concord, MA, She previously had been employed 14 years at Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick as an Administrative Assistant. At the time of her death she was working at Augusta Family Physicians. She will be remembered as a giving, loving person. She will also be known as the "Muffin Lady" as she was always baking muffins to give away to family and friends. She also enjoyed the company of her German Shephards as served on the committee of the Wolf Refuge.She is predeceased by her parents, one brother, Leonard J. Small Jr. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Lester E. Hodgkins Jr., of Freedom, one daughter, Kathy R. Arseneault and her husband, Bryan of Greene, two grandchildren, Blayne and Saige, two sisters, Linda C. McLaughlin of New Hampshire and Janis Marchetti of Arizona, one brother, Doug Small of New Hampshire, as well as many nieces an nephews.Visiting hours for family and friends will be this evening Thursday July 7 from 6-8pm at the Carll - Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11am. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Kennebunk.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & black Funeral Home 580 Main Street Springvale, Maine.
