Joyce M. Parker

Yarmouth – Joyce M. (Richards) Parker, 93, passed away on July 12, 2026, in Gorham. Joyce was born on October 20, 1932, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of the late Frances (Bean) Richards.

Joyce found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially the adventures she shared with her beloved husband, Leverette. Together, they traveled across the country in their RV, creating memories along the way. Winters were often spent at camp, where she loved snowmobiling and gathering family and friends around her famous weenie roasts.

A gifted quilter, she poured love into every stitch, creating beautiful handmade quilts that became treasured gifts for each of her grandchildren as they left for college.

Her warmth, creativity, and generosity will continue to wrap her family in love for generations to come.

Joyce was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Leverette Parker; brothers, Vance Richards and Sherwood and his wife Dawn Richards. She is survived by her children, Cheryl and her husband Don Olen, and Tim and his wife Ann Parker; grandchildren, Ashley and her husband Abel Wright, Parker and his wife Jenna Olen and Emily Parker and her fiancé Matthew Rutherford; great-grandchildren, Blake and Ellie Tucker, Marlowe, Cooper, and Quincy Wright, Emery and Alice Olen, and Shea Rutherford; and many beloved extended family members.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the individual Care Givers who cared for Joyce near the end of her life.

Graveside Services will be held in private at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
