Joshua Alan Van Dyke, 26, of Wells, died unexpected in Sanford on Friday.He was born in Sacramento, CA on May 9th 1985, but was a longtime resident of Wells, graduating from Wells High School in 2003.He is survived by his family Traci, Brian, Lara and Morgan Miller, his adoring grandfather John Van Dyke and his wife Bonnie, his aunts Rhonda Tomah and her husband Harry and Karen Van Dyke and her wife Renee, and lastly his cousins Philip and Ashley Tomah. He was predeceased by his loving grandmother Dianne Van Dyke (Nana). Joshua was a kind and loving young man. His generosity knew no boundaries. He was a loyal friend and would help anyone in need. He enjoyed life to the fullest and was always quick with a smile or a laugh. The number of lives he affected in his short life is a testament to his true nature, a sweeter soul would be difficult to find.Joshua loved hanging out with family and friends, driving, listening to music and dancing. He knew how to enjoy his free time. He had recently made plans with his best friend, Dickie Hudon, to move to California. In the end, Dickie was right there with him, and in this, the family finds comfort.Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Joshua's life to be held on Saturday March 10th at 2 PM at Connect Community Church, 200 Chase Dr. Portsmouth, NH. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a contribution to Joshua's mom, Traci Miller, 89 Minuteman Drive, Wells, ME 04090, to help her defray expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. Condolences may be expressed at the Condolences tab at left.
