Josephine Arline Chadbourne

Arline Chadbourne, 73, of 158 Kennebunk Road, Alfred, died Thursday, October 2, 2003 at her home. She was born in Shapleigh, a daughter of Joseph and Ethyl (Nason) Carroll.She was raised in Shapleigh and was a 1948 graduate of Sanford High School. In 1950, she married Samuel Chadborune, and raised her family in Alfred. After they were grown, she worked as a sticher at the former Nike and Tennford Weaving factories in Sanford.Arline liked to dance and enjoyed gardening, family and friends. She was a member of Alfred Grange and the Eastern Star in Alfred. She also enjoyed traveling to Arizona, Las Vegas, Hawaii and Washington, DC.She was predeceased by her husband in 1981 and 2 brothers; Harold and Wendall Hamilton.Survivors include a son, Dennis and Demetria Chadborune of Gorham; a daughter, donna and Carl Jordan of Boothbay; a sister, Beryl and Richard Sweeney of Springvale; a sister-in-lw, Mary Bagley of Tucson, AZ; 4 grandchildren, Kyra, Aaron, Susan & David; and special cousins Dot and Tom Brown.Relatives and friends may call at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale on Saturday from 4-6 PM, where a funeral services will be held at 1:30 Sunday, with Rev.
