Allard, 69, of Lebanon, died October 28, 2002 at his residence in Lebanon.He was born in Gonic, NH., on October 9, 1933, the son of Ubald and Marie (Boucher) Allard.Mr. Allard served in The United States Army During The Korean Conflict.He was employed as a self-employed carpenter in Southern Maine and New Hampshire for over 25 years.In the past, Joe was the commander of The American Legion Post # 47 in Rollinsford, NH, and in 1970 fought to get scouting land, which he succeeded in doing.Most recently he devoted his time and skills as a carpenter to help build the Babe Ruth Dugout in Lebanon.Joe was a very dedicated friend who would do anything for anybody. He enjoyed woodworking in his woodshop, and trips to hunt and fish with his "uncle Leo" at Lake Winnipesaukee. He is survived by his sons Roger J. Allard and his wife Beth of Rochester, NH., and Daniel L. Allard and his wife Melissa of Lebanon; grandchildren Mandy, Eric and Amy; and Jessica and Michael.He was predeceased by a son Normand D. Allard who died in 1986.Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 2:30 PM in The Milton Mills Cemetery, Milton Mills, NH. If desired, donations may be made in his memory to The Lebanon Fire and Rescue, or to the charity of one's choice.
