John grew up in Hollis and graduated from Bonny Eagle High School in 1984. He married Laura Day in 1992 and together they had 3 children. Growing up John enjoyed wrestling and building anything with his hands, especially if it had a motor. He was extremely talented and could accomplish anything he set his mind to. John was always proud of his green lifted Chevy to which he and many others referred to as “Usher’s Crusher”. He also had a true passion for NASCAR and enjoyed a few years of racing at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. In 1984, John began working at Tilcon/Pike Industries where he stayed for 16 years until he switched industries and began working for Route 202 Trailer Sales. It wasn’t long after he decided he wanted a business of his own and went on to start Usher Inc. in 2003. He built his business around his love of cars and racing where he provided service until the end of his life. He loved motorcycles and enjoyed traveling to Daytona for bike week. Those who knew him knew he loved to have a good time and everyone could agree he was the life of the party. 8. Johnny, you left us too soon. I remember so many good times going to the motorcross races, Nascar races and mudding in your big green truck. You always had a smile on your face and were ready for adventure. I remember biking miles to your parents house to hang out in the garage all day and watch you tinker on vehicles. We had many good times together. You were loved and will be truly missed. Rest easy. Thinking of the family and all that loved you.
