  1. John was a righteous man who I’m sure as ended in to our Lords loving arms. He was devoted to his God, his wife and family and his faith. I wish him Fair Winds and Following Seas! RIP Brother, your work on earth is done.

  2. To Marilyn and Family, so very sorry to hear of John’s passing. How privileged I was to work with him and know him during our time at TD Bank. I am so honored that he reached out to me a few weeks ago to say good bye. My deepest sympathy and God’s peace to you, Betsy Davis

  3. Marilyn and Family: I just learned of John’s death today. Condolences and yet happy memories of him from Kim and me. I met John as one of my students at Nasson College and we grew closer and closer over the years through periodic lunches. His last words to me were that we would lunch again soon. What was it about John that always made him feel so much older than I even while I am now eighty-two years old? He was wise and mature and his faith and love of and from his family gave him confidence, poise, and compassion. I will miss him. John Massaro

  4. John was an honored member of The United States Navy being honorably discharged with metals for bravery.
He went on to receive a masters degree in accounting with a very successful career and without fully retiring in spite of his illness.
His concern was more for everyday normalcy and his family.
He was Married to Marilyn Lewis for 42 years and together the had and raised 3 wonderful children; John David, Jennifer Katherine and Stephanie Nichole.

  5. I was always so proud to call John my big brother! He was that big brother you could go to for advice or to be a confidant.
We had many years of laughter. He bravely fought this past year and is now at peace. We are all missing him, his brilliance, his sense is humor, his devotion to family. Rest in Peace my Big Brother. Love, Katherine Fouts❤️

  6. My Dearest Brother. Words cannot express the grace and dignity you observed your whole life. The smiles and laughter when you lit up a room. Your dancing and love of your beautiful wife and family. A hero in 1971 when you volunteered to go overboard during typhoon Rose in Hong Kong harbor to secure shore lines. Your outspoken opposition to the conflict you witnessed first hand. Your embrace of your Lord and Savior privately held and publicly lived. I will miss you brother and will be ever grateful for your example as a man. With love to Marilyn, Stephanie, Jenna and John David. I was proud to call you Big Brother.

  7. John was a trustworthy , sincere, and caring person. He was our town treasurer in Ogunquit, and I appreciated his hard work and honesty. May you rest in peace John, and my thoughts to his entire family
