John R. McCann

John R. McCann, 92 years old, of Sanford, ME died Sunday November 30, 2003 at his home.Mr. McCann was born on June 3, 1911 in Sanford, ME. He was the son of John and Laura LaFlamme McCann. For many years he worked for Pratt & Whitney as a Quality Control Inspector.Predeceasing him is a son John, two brothers, Roland and Normand, and a sister Florence.Surviving is his wife of 68 years Lucille Couturier McCann of Sanford, a daughter, Janet and Alan Carter of Sanford, four grandchildren, Jill and Alan Hall, and Kelly and Scott Pelchat all of Sanford, Thomas Carte of TN, and Brenda and James Leitchtenberg of NE, eight great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Inez McCann of Springvale, Tama McCann of FL, and several nephews.At Mr. McCann's request services will be held privately for the family.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 191 Main St., Sanford, ME 04073.
