John L. Cote

John L. Cote, 77, of San Diego, CA, died December 21, 2010 in San Diego after a long illness.He was born in Portland on July 2, 1933, a son of Damas J. and Ada (Cabana) Cote. He attended local schools and was a 1951 graduate of Sanford High School.John served in the US Navy for 35 years and had been a resident of California for the past 22 years.Survivors include a brother Robert Cote of Knot Bay, Ontario, Canada, a sister Jackie Chabot of Sanford, and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, June 17 at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, beginning at 9:00 AM. Burial will military honors will follow at 11:00 AM at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
