Jeannette A. Guillemette

Jeannette Alice Guillemette died Monday at the Maine Medical Center surrounded by her family following a brief illness.She was born in Springvale on January 11, 1925 to John and Alice (Blanchette) Dion. She married Andre Guillemette on December 29, 1945. They were married for 53 years and raised 10 children before he died in 1998.Jeannette spent her time caring for her huge family and working at the former Hillcrest Manor from where she retired.She is survived by her 5 daughters, Irene Plante and her husband Raymond, Elaine Conley and her husband Thomas, Pauline Capen, Rachel Martin and her husband Craig and Diane Rouillard, all of Sanford, 5 sons, Michael Guillemette and his wife Irene of Lyman, Ronald Guillemette and his wife Kathryn of Sanford, Gerard Guillemette of Lebanon, John Guillemette and his wife Toni and Roland Guillemette, all of Sanford. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Theresa Couture, Rita Legere and Maryann Edrington, 3 brothers, Jean Dion, Albert Dion and Maurice Dion, 28 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren who will miss her candy bowl. She will be sadly missed and is fondly remembered by her entire family.Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM in Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
