SPRINGVALE—Jeannette L. Fletcher, 90, of Springvale, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday July 17, 2024.
She was born in Sanford, November 18, 1933 the son of Camille and Irene (Fields) Manseau. She grew up in Sanford and was a graduate of Sanford High School. She married Clifford Fletcher in September of her graduation year and moved to Norfolk Virginia where he was stationed in the Navy. Jeannette moved back to Maine when Linda was born and she lived in both Sanford and Springvale.
Jeannette worked at several jobs, over the years including, John Roberts, the Sanford Dress Shop, Nike Shoes and retired from the Belt factory in 1995.
When she wasn’t working, Jeannette enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, motorcycling and camping with Cliff and Linda. In retirement, she and Cliff travelled extensively. Cliff died in February after he and Jeannette were married for 71 years.
Mrs. Fletcher is survived by her daughter, Linda Fletcher and her partner, Debra Waters; her friend, Nancy Wentworth and her nieces and nephews, Sandra Davis, Susan Roux, Michael and Albert Fournier
A graveside service will be held at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Friday August 2 at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Hospice of Southern Maine, 390 U.S Rt. 1, Scarborough, ME 04074.

We were so sad to learn of Jeannette’s passing. She and her husband were wonderful neighbors when we lived in Maine – both very kind and helpful. We will miss their friendship. Our condolences to their daughter and family.
