East Lebanon, MaineJanet L. Lahey, 68, of East Lebanon, Maine, died October 16, 2001 at her residence.She was born in Limerick, Maine on June 18, 1933 the daughter of Kenneth J. and Rose Howard Furlong.Mrs. Lahey moved from Limerick to Sanford 52 years ago and then to East Lebanon in 1986.She worked for the Goodall Sanford Mills as a seamstress in the dress shop there. Most recently she worked as a greeter for Walmart in Sanford.Mrs. Lahey very much enjoyed working with the elderly in their homes. She loved crafts, knitting crochet and flowers.She is survived by her husband of 25 years John Lahey of East Lebanon, Maine, her son George F. Hills, Jr., of Florida; her daughters Sylvia Grondin of Sanford, Maine and Sheila Lachance of Sanford, Maine; a sister Muriel Monroe of Fitchburg, MA; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.A memorial service will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM at Heald Funeral Home 580 Main Street Springvale.
