Jane Hackett

Jane Ellen Hackett, 72, of Sanford, died on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford. Jane was born on January 16, 1945 to Raymond and Elizabeth (Ashworth) Caron in Sanford where she grew up and attended local schools, graduating from Sanford High School in 1963. She was employed for many years at York County Community Action until her retirement. Jane had been a member of North Parish Congregation Church. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, watching old movies and listening to Elvis. She also loved watching football. She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Jane was predeceased by her parents and by her brother Wayne Caron. Surviving are her children, Janellen McCabe and her husband Milton of Acton and Raymond Hackett of Kittery; her grandson, Parker McCabe, her sister-in-law, Marsha Caron of Sanford and her aunt, Evelyn Strain of Brockton MA. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 2nd at the Oakdale Cemetery located on Twombley Road in Sanford.
