  7. A long long time ago, a young lady and her 2 very best friends, without ever knowing it, made an impact on my life that has stayed with me to this very day. A friendship that built a foundation in my life. That helped me understand just how important friends are to each other. The 4 of us were inseparable for maybe a year, maybe more, during the beginning of our high school years. I was young, immature and still very much a boy. They helped me grow out of my shell. Helped me mature and care for one another. A bond like no other I had ever seen or been a part of. I grew apart from them after high school. The Navy and life took me away from Cape Elizabeth but those 3 never left my mind. That friendship was the first solid granite block that built my foundation of understanding just how important friendship is and the love and support it provides us. That young lady was Jaime Profenno. Rest in Peace sweet girl. I can’t thank you enough, Jaime. My gratitude is boundless; you will forever be remembered. Your friend, Mark 🫶
