Portland – Jacob R. Rich, 31, passed away on April 6, 2026 at his home in Portland. Jake was born on January 23, 1995, in Biddeford, son of Sharene (Rich) Hoffman.

Jake enjoyed enjoyed drawing, music, anime and horror movies.

Jake was predeceased by his grandparents, Gary and Belinda Rich. He is survived by his mother, Sharene, and father, Daniel Hoffman; brothers, Jaime, Joseph, Jordan, and Avery; sisters, Jacqueline and Amethyst; niece, Maddy; nephew, Mason; and many extended family members.

Services for Jake will be held in private with his family.

    • Oh Jake. I wish so bad that we had stayed in touch. I’m so sorry we didn’t. I only really got to know you for about 2 years, many moons ago, before we sort of lost touch. But I enjoyed every visit we had with you. You were so kind and so much fun. Always up for anything when you were with us. Truth or dare on a late rainy night, weird horror movies, sitting thru someone else’s tattoo, Hot Topic, taxes + “broken” belt = new belt. And you had the best big ol’ smile, even though you hated it at the time & made me delete that great sneaky photo I got. I’ve been on a mission to find those other photos and the drawings you left with us. I know you are at peace now, I’m just so extremely sorry you’re gone. Sending you, your family & loved ones so much love ♥️

  7. Jake was a good friend texting me to see how my day was, help me at my house on the weekends. I keep looking for his tex, my heart goes out to this family, my God help u all get thorough this loss, 😭 I can’t believe he gone.
