Irene A. Valliere

Irene A. Valliere, 98, formerly of Spruce Street in Sanford, died January 2 at Huntington Common in Kennebunk. She was born in Sanford on November 14, 1906, a twin daughter of Joseph E. and Rose Anne (Roberge) Valliere, and attended the former St. Ignatius School. A lifelong resident, she was employed at the former Sears and Universal Shoe Shops. She was a communicant of St. Ignatius Church. Her twin sister, Diana A. Valliere, with whom she resided all of her life, died on February 16, 2002. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 6-8 PM on Tuesday at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday in St. Ignatius Church. Burial will be in the spring in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
