Irene A. Roberts

Irene A. Roberts, 85, of Lebanon, ME died Monday morning March25, 2002 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford.Mrs. Roberts was born on May 20, 1916 in Lebanon, ME. She was the daughter of Chester and Ellen Stackpole. It was in Lebanon that she attended schools and spent most of her life.Mrs. Roberts was a 71-year member of the Riverside Grange. She was a past Pomona and State Grange master. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and the Ladies Aid in Lebanon.Bingo was a passion of Irene's, she also enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and many years ago she tended to a beautiful garden.Predeceasing her is her husband George Roberts.Three daughters, Beverly and Raymond Hamilton of Springvale, Linda and Barry Kreider of York, and Brenda and Gary Powers of Lebanon survive her. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.A graveside service for Mrs. Roberts will be held in the spring of 2002 at Forest Grove Cemetery in Lebanon.
