Hilda P. Trafton

SanfordHilda P. Trafton, 88, of Sanford died Saturday evening, October 20, 2001 at the Newton Center in Sanford.Mrs. Trafton was born on April 1, 1913 in Chisholm, ME. She was the daughter of James and Mary Richard Pineau. At the age of 12 her family moved to Sanford, ME.For many years Mrs. Trafton worked as an administrative assistant for Universal Shoe Company, and Allied Novelty of Springvale. She was a communicant of St. Ignatius R.C. Church of Sanford and often volunteered for church functions.Her husband Eugene Trafton predeceased her in 1966.Surviving are two brothers; Francis Pineau of Visalia, CA, Clarence Pineau of Burbank, CA; a sister, Irene Gobbi of Norwalk, CA and several nieces and nephews.A period of visitation will be held on Tuesday October 23, 2001 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main St. Springvale. Friends are invited to attend a 9:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ignatius R.C. Church on Wednesday, October 24, 2001. A committal service will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
