Perkins,JR., 65, of Veazie, Maine died Wednesday July 10, 2002 at the Maine Veteran Home in Bangor.He was born in Sanford, Maine on January 4, 1937 the son of Harry S. and Edna M. Lord Perkins, Sr., and was a graduate of Sanford High School. Mr. Perkins attended The University of Maine at Orono. He then served in The United States Coast Guard.After serving in the military, he worked as a plant manager at American Cyanamid in the early 60's for over 10 years. He was then employed as a plant manager for Carleton Woolen Mills in Sanford and then for Computer Vision also in Sanford.Mr. Perkins was then self-employed as a home contractor, finish carpenter and furniture maker.He retired to Great East Lake in Acton for the past 15 years. Mr. Perkins was involved with A Boy Scout Troup in the Bangor Area where he helped with building design for the last few years.He is survived by his sons Anthony Perkins of Gorham and Gregory Perkins of Boston, Ma; sisters Lorraine Ryder of Chatham, MA., Evelyn Edinger of Three Oaks Michigan and Dorothy Becker of Brockton, MA; granddaughters Katelin, Carly and Haley Perkins of Gorham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday July 17th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Heald Funeral Home 580 Main Street, Springvale. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday July 18th in Oakdale Cemetery, Sanford. If desired, donations may be made in his memory to The Boy Scouts of America P.O.
