Hakon Harald Berg

Sanford, MaineHakon Harald Berg, 76, of Sanford, Maine died Monday August 12, 2002 at The Goodall Hospital in Sanford. He was born in France on September 10, 1925, he was the son of Ragnar Berg.He worked for the civil service for 37 years. During many of those years he worked at The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as an architect. He later retired and went to work as the code enforcement officer for North Berwick for 7 years.His survivors include his wife Diane of 20 years and their two children Matthew Berg of Sanford and Kate Meagher and her husband Steve of Sanford.Also surviving are son Kenneth and wife Shelly and their two children Sonya and Brian of Pennsylvania, son Gary and wife Sue and their two children Jeffrey and Kirsten of Eliot, Maine and their daughter Laurie Hillis and her husband Bob of Florida, and a daughter Peggy.A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Heald Funeral Home 580 Main Street, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
