Gregory Roger Bougie, 48, of Alfred, ME died April 11, 2002 at the Goodall Hospital in Sanford.Gregory was born on June 29, 1953, in Sanford, Maine, the son of Laurent J. and Gloria Nason Bougie.He graduated from Sanford High School in 1971 and later graduated from Nason College with honors in 1975 with a Batchelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology.Mr. Bougie worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a master machinist for 10 years then moved to Florida for 11 years, returning to Alfred, ME 2 1/2 years ago.He loved nature and especially going Rock Hounding with one of his good friends Paul Beaudette. He was a past troop leader of the Boy Scouts Troop # 319, and past member of the Sanford - Springvale Fish and Game Club. Mr. Bougie was a member of the Capital Mineral Club of Concord, N.H. and a former Town Meeting member in Sanford. Mr. Bougie was also a Habitat for Humanity volunteer.He is survived by his parents Laurent and Gloria Bougie of Springvale, 2 Brothers, Ronald L. Bougie, of Auburn, Carl R. of Springvale, his Grandmother, Doris Nason, whom he loved very much, of Hillcrest Gardens, in Sanford, 3 Nieces, 2 Uncles, and 3 Cousins.At Mr. Bougies request services will be private.Memorials may be made to the George Mitchell Scholarship Fund, C/O Heald Funeral Home, P.O.
